Christmas Day

I'm so thankful for all that I have, for all those that are part of my life, for my health, my family's health, my animals, my warm house, books, toys, my job, my computers, my cameras, my Christmas Vacation Blu-ray DVD Jason got me for Christmas, sleep, food that I get to eat whenever I choose, water, my cars, my health insurance, my sons happiness and all the joy he spreads...gosh, I have so much to be thankful for (I could go on for days and days).

Christmas was nice and low key. Just the way I like it. I'm sure it will be the only year it will be that way. I think Carter was OVER stimulated with all the unwrapping and all the toys to choose from. He liked the toy cell phone my Mom gave him. It was a very nice day.

First lift Johnny spoiled Jason. What a lucky guy!

Goofy Gary and Lynda...Gary is still on a "high" from selling his snake the night before. It's a long story.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

Christmas Eve

Well, I finally got in the Christmas spirit. I am a very big multi-tasker, pretty organized, and like things done "my" way, etc. etc. But, man when it comes to Christmas, I am sooooo a last minute decorator, shopper, get it together for the holiday season type of gal. I like shopping ok, but I have to admit, I hate crowded stores, waiting in line, and so I avoid it all costs. I do shop online quite often for Christmas, but then I also like to stimulate the local economy so I also physically get out to the stores for some good ole' last minute shopping. I pretty much did my shopping on December 22, 23, and 24. :-)

I always like to try and put a personal touch on gifts. Sometimes hand made gifts are simply the best. Although I do everything last minute when it comes to Christmas, I did make my Mom and Jason's parents an ornament with Carter's hand print on one side and a photo and a little decoration on the other for "Carter's First Christmas." I think they all liked it very much. I also made some no bake peanut butter/cornflake cookies that are so tasty...I believe tasting them (and wanting more) is similar to being addicted to crack (I'm assuming here).

We went to Jason's parents for Christmas Eve dinner. It was a nice night. Of course Carter was spoiled so by all family members. He didn't really "need" anything, but its cute how much everyone adores and loves him and wants to give him so much.

movin' and a grovin'

Carter boy crawled for the first time yesterday. You should have seen how excited we were, running around like chickens with our heads cut off, yelling, "where is the video camera?!" "ahhhhhhhhhhh, its dead! where is the charger?!" We finally got it charged and got him on camera. Very exciting times. I love it!

twins!

Look at these new set of skis my hubby gave me for an early Christmas present! He is the sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetest! Thanks babe! I love them so.

Luring my sister...

A shower curtain

An end table, a lamp, curtains, a plant, and a sewing box (ok so that was just sitting there because I need to hem those curtains, but...)

And best of all, a butterfly pillowcase Grandma B. gave me from Mexico. Nice, isn't it?

My first attempts at taking a Christmas photo of Carter. There will be more this weekend. I freakin LOVE this kid! Could he be any cuter? Nope, not possible.

Dad, Snow, Basement...

Hi Dad. To everyone else, just so ya know, my Dad LOVES the snow and skiing out west, but he lives in Chicago. It snowed a good amount yesterday here in P-town. Our basement is fully finished now. Complete with two spare bedrooms, a bathroom, a laundry room, and a family room. Come stay with us this Winter (you, L, and the punks) and lets ski by day and hang out by night.

I never thought I could love a laundry room as much as I do this one, even if it is the basement! I am so thankful for our amazing house. Oh, and of course we are not done organizing, decorating, or placing furniture (treadmill will not be housed in the family room), but we are getting closer!
