Ya-son

Happy birthday Ya-son, as I like to call him (just like our Costa Rican friends did), leaving the J silent.

Happy birthday my dear husband. I love you so much!

I hope you had a great birthday this year and am glad you got to ski that day, as you've made tradition, and not work. I love that tradition.

You are a great hubby, you are adventurous, unpredictable, a slob (yes, you know its true), but I LOVE you just like you love to eat the last cookie out of the container (ah ha, I'm cracking up here because I always give him crap about eating the last xyz thing out of the pantry and not saving me any). Also, you are an amazing Dad. I love how much you love Carter, how much time you spend with him, and all the fun things you teach him. I also love how you know something about everything and are so smart about all walks of life and can hold a conversation with just about anyone. I'm envious here. You have many talents and traits I adore. You have made a great career for yourself and have aspirations to take it even further. Kudos to you for this. You are an awesome athlete, are daring, carefree, and you have a big heart, try to help others, and care about so many.

Muah! Hope each year gets better and better for you! I know it does for me.

So proud...

Life through Jason's eyes. I kinda dig it...

Happy birthday BFF! Love you like no other!

For those of you that don't know, Shelby and I have been best friends since we were in 9th grade. And, we are still best friends today. I think this is quite impressive. We have the best time laughing, playing (skiing, riding bikes, hiking, traveling, seeing movies - the usual best friend stuff), and enjoying life together. And now I'm even more excited that our kids are just a few years apart. I know they will enjoy playing together more and more over these next couple of years.

I am so blessed to have her in my life. We have been through it all together and I can't imagine a better BFF.

Love ya sista friend!

Mil

oldies...

We are true goofballs together. This was us getting ready to head home to Pocatello from a very very fun Miami spring break trip...in some sort of state.

Lake Powell - this was an excellent trip! Shelby and I are standing in the middle.

And now the present. Life is all about our kids. I'm so excited they recently got to hang out together at a little slumber party we had. It was most enjoyable.

Goofy kids...Avery, Carter, Ben

Ben was such a sweet boy to Carter

Avery...this girl - she rocks!

They are already playing the blame game! Carter is saying, "Avery did it!"

What fun times!

10 months

Carter turned 10 months on Valentine's day. But, the poor boy was sick on his 10-month bday. He had his first major cold and FEVER, complete with antibiotics and all. He got sick after guess?...he went to 1 day of daycare at Jackson Hole while we skied with my Dad that Friday. Go figure. He probably had a bug before he was there, but still, only 1 day and he's miserable for the next 7 days. Really!?! Poor buddy. But, guess he's got to test and make sure his immune system is up and running, eh?

Carter has got 6 teeth now and has quite a big and beautiful smile. Love you my boy. Can't believe you are 2 months shy of turning 1!

This was one of the first couple of days he was real sick (you can see that runny nose). Even when this boy is down, he is still just about as happy as can be.

Sending some LOVE to Chi-town

Happy birthday in January (sorry I'm late) to my dear little bro Tom. He's 17 now. Wow, only one more year of high school after this? It can't be.

Happy birthday to my sweet little sis, Celia. She is 15 now. We are 16+ years apart and we live in different parts of the country, but I've always felt close to my little sis. We pick up right where we left off the last time each time we see each other.

Happy birthday to my awesome stepmom, Lisa. She is such a great person. She is super smart, generous, beautiful, CALM, patient, a fun sailboat captain, a great Mom to my little brothers and sister, and the list goes on an on...and the best stepmom anyone could ever ask for.

All of these people live very far away from me, in the great city of Chicago. I wish we could see each other more often, but I cherish the time we do get to spend with one another.

Love and miss you guys.

Here are some old photos that I loved stumbling across. Great memories.
