Dad, Snow, Basement...

Hi Dad. To everyone else, just so ya know, my Dad LOVES the snow and skiing out west, but he lives in Chicago. It snowed a good amount yesterday here in P-town. Our basement is fully finished now. Complete with two spare bedrooms, a bathroom, a laundry room, and a family room. Come stay with us this Winter (you, L, and the punks) and lets ski by day and hang out by night.

I never thought I could love a laundry room as much as I do this one, even if it is the basement! I am so thankful for our amazing house. Oh, and of course we are not done organizing, decorating, or placing furniture (treadmill will not be housed in the family room), but we are getting closer!

7 months

Carter will be 7 months tomorrow and already cut a tooth! Here is his picture the eve of his 7 month bday. He is the most handsome boy EVER! I so love this cardigan sweater with the giraffe on it. LOVE this boy of ours with all my heart and soul.

Carter loves when I sing to him (no really, I know it sounds crazy because my voice is not the best, but he really does love it). His fave is the song Don't worry, be happy. ITZ a GOOD ONE!!

Since I made these tnite, and they were delish!

Banana Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 cup unbleached all-purpose flour

½ cup whole wheat flour

½ tsp baking soda

¼ tsp nutmeg

1 tsp cinnamon

¾ cup unsweetened applesauce

1 cup sugar

1 egg

1 cup mashed bananas (~ 3 small bananas)

1 cup oatmeal

1 cup chocolate chips

I added walnuts tonight and it made them even better!! YUM YUM

Bake at 375 for 10-13 minutes

Don’t be weirded out at the glistening on the cookies the day after you cook them (if there are any left), its just the bananas!

Big Blue

This backpack is the BEST! Carter loves it, we love, it is all so fun. I call it BIG Blue! What's even better is when we went to get it, it was 20% off. Quite a savings! But, we would've bought it anyway (we didn't even know we were getting the surprise discount until at the check-out, YES!!!).

We took a hike right after we got it up Gibson Jack yesterday and then I hauled Carter in it today while we took the three dogs for a walk around the field near our house to make sure I could carry the 27 lbs. No problem!! Way better than a stroller.

Can you tell from Carter's expression whether or not he enjoyed the ride?

This is Buck's little pup that is living with us right now until someone buys him. However, this new mystery owner must pass the test and prove they will be a good owner otherwise I will not let this boy go. He is so fun and playful. Such a sweet boy. Here are the three terrors playing together. Sometimes it looks and sounds rough, but they are always just playing! : )
