birthday (tomorrow) to you Lynda!
You are a wonderful mother/mother-in-law. Thanks for dedicating so many hours of your day to spending time with our Carter boy. We are so blessed that you are willing to do this.
We all love you and hope you have a great birthday tomorrow!

rarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Here is Carter's rider/walking lion. Can you hear it rarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr? No, ok you're correct. The lion actually giggles in a very goofy way and plays fun music that makes you want to bee-bop when you press his nose. It's very cute. Nice job on picking this out and giving it to Carter boy for Christmas Aunt Laila.

teton pass
Jason took Juan and hiked the Teton pass in search of snow on Saturday (since there is not much snow around here). I always envy how adventurous Jason is and what an expert he is in all he does. He is an expert skier, both in-bounds and in the backcountry (in my mind). However, its always a little scary when he is checking avalanche reports the night before leaving town, and making sure I understand exactly where he will be hiking...Mount Taylor (I guess I need to know his location shall he not return that night). But, I admire how brave he is and how much of a wuss, unlike me, he isn't.
But, gladly he returned safely. He experienced great weather, had a great hike (his legs were quite sore the next day), and a nice ski down. Although he didn't find any new snow.
It's like crack. Can't put the Blackberry down

kung pao
A guy I work with prepared kung pao chicken for our department since he enjoys cooking. And he has made it so many times for he and his daughter I now declare him a masterful kung pao chicken chef (in his spare time of course, IT guy by day). This was the second time he made it for us. We requested he make it again because it is SO TASTY! It'll knock your socks off if made right.
So, just in case anyone is looking for a good, no...EXCELLENT, kung pao chicken recipe with a little kick. This is a great one!

Targhee
Jason and I were privileged enough to ski at Grand Targhee last weekend. It was so nice to take that first trip. We both couldn't stop talking about how we can't wait until Carter can join us on the hill. What fun that will be.
So, Targhee is known for good snow, A LOT of it, early in the season. Its the hill we all hit in November and December before our local hill, Pebble Creek, opens. I've always known it to have crazy bad visibility. You know, the kind of visibility where you can get disoriented, can't see two inches in front of your face, better know the mountain well, or you might not make it down. That kind. Guess we can't have it all. Well, we were driving up the canyon, almost there, and sure enough, it was gonna be a cloudy, not so good VIZ day. DARN! But, wait, then we got to the top, and there it was, bluebird skies and the sun shining.
Oh, what a glorious day it was. We had so much fun. My new "rocker" skies rocked too!

Sledding
My sister, Brett, and the boys came into town for a few days after New Years. It was so nice to see them and visit. I really wanted to go sledding. We hadn't had much snow in awhile, but I really really wanted to go. I mean BAD! So, although there wasn't much snow on the ground we packed up the crew and headed to Bartz field where there was some snow. On the way we picked up Carter some snow bibs, but ran into the dumbest obstacle...they didn't sale infant (probably would've needed 9-12 months) snow bibs. So, the smallest they had was a 3T. I bought them as I figured they would work somehow. They did.
When we arrived, the snow was there, but scarce. But, we had the most excellent time. Ok, so I had the most fun. I can't remember the last time I went sledding. It was a blast. What did Carter think of it? He was so bundled up, I think he was a bit uncomfortable and wasn't sure what was going on. He was also tired, but wouldn't nap with the boys in town. I think he had fun. I hope. Well, if not, he'll grow into those 3T bibs and go sledding when he's a bit older and can enjoy it more.

nye pajama party 2009-2010
We had a new year's eve party this year. We had one two years ago (2007-2008) and it was super fun! We decided we needed a theme for the party. It doesn't get much funner than a PAJAMA party, right?!
Jason's jammies rocked the most. When my sis heard we were throwing a pajama party, she decided to get Jason these SWEET red jamma's for Christmas...complete with a trap door and everything. Hilarious!
We weren't sure if anyone would show, thought it might just be Jason and I and four of our close friends, but lots more people ended up showing up. We had such a great time being silly, catching up, and kicking back with old and new friends. I only wish my BFF and her hubby could've been there.
Here Jason is preparing for the party. GOOFball! That champagne was quite tasty later that night!
Here are my jammies. So, I wanted to find some warm wintery fun flannel long sleeved tops and bottoms, and I had some in my hand at target - they were so cute, they were red and had white snowflakes. But, then I saw the CUTEST boxers (that I'm sporting here). I only wish they had a top to match. I just had to buy them, loved the snowflakes, loved the different patches of fabrics, and most of all the big white BOW! Also, loved my new blue knitted socks with the dangling yarn balls on the tops. Everyone thought they were boots at first. They are totally warm and cozy!

Ping pong time (I am SO good at this game!)...
Ok, this was a couple of days later, Carter and Jakob were not at the party, but they look so cute in their jammies too!
